Networking

06180911241Networking is a big piece of makes things happen within the Gathering locally.

Our resources are limited and so much of networking is connecting people to people. Real and long-term value is added when we connect men to men, and quality people to quality people.

Three good regular partners of networking locally are:

The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce (www.chamber.greaterspringfield.com): Our local Chamber is a great resource and offers many different offerings to our community. Business After Hours, grand openings, NCAA Tournament Opening Round Open House (partnered with the Gathering), you name it, there are many offerings for all with the Chamber.

Cedarville University (www.cedarville.edu): The Gathering and Cedarville offer quarterly lunches for local business people to hear about the Gathering, Cedarville, and attend one of Cedarville’s chapels and hear a national known speaker or President Bill Brown.

  • The next one is Tuesday, October 12, with CEO Forum Vice President Mac McQuiston (http://tinyurl.com/28pcyqa).  Come join 25 or so other businessmen from the area in what promises to be a day of blessing and new relationships built and much value-added.
  • Schedule is 10 a.m. chapel, lunch/networking to follow, ending by 12:45. This event is free, 1st-come, 1st-served, and intended for folks who haven’t been to a previous one. Stay as long as you can. Leave when you must.

Fellowship (www.fellowshipchristian.org): Bi-monthly after work events are held at local businesses and are open to all.

  • Next one: Fellowship Business Network connects business people to business people: Do not miss the next “After Five” event (always FREE), which will be announced in next month or so.

Clark Statehpim22631 (www.clarkstate.edu): Bi-monthly FastBreak breakfasts on Tuesday mornings, usually lasting just over an hour, with a good speaker and good breakfast, all for $10.

Clark State is hosting a speed networking event on Friday, Feb. 5 from 9-noon for the Clark and Greene County areas.

Cost is $35 per person or a pair pays $25 apiece.  Contact Gary Kuhn for more details @ kuhng@clarkstate.edu.
