Locker Rooms

Early morning Fridays sharing life

Panera is one of our favorite Locker Room hangouts
NEW LOCKER ROOMS STARTING IN JUNE! ONE WILL BE ONE OF ALL-TIME GREAT MEN BOOKS, “MAN IN THE MIRROR,” OTHER IS TO BE DETERMINED.
MitMirror will be Monday mornings at Panera at 6:30 a.m. in the community room.
Locally, the Gathering calls our bi-weekly (typically) small groups that meet “Locker Rooms.” This was coined because when athletes retire from professional sports, they often say that the #2 thing they’ll miss about being away from the field/court is the competition.
Number one answer is usually missing the comraderie of the locker room.
Life change often happens in these 1-1.5 hour meetings as men reflect, encourage, share life, and reflect on life and material read.
There is no formula to this, just a commitment to be real, connect, engage in reading and the lives of others.
Materials and resources used have included John Maxwell books, Loving Monday, Just Walk Across the Room, Experiencing the Resurrection, The Shack, The Last Lecture.
Two key resources have been The Four Priorities and The Disciplines of a Godly Man.
Great friendships have been formed in Locker Rooms, usually meetings at local restaurants and coffee shops, and relationships have been healed, as well as businesses started and business relationships forged.
To join or start a Locker Room, just email or call Jeff. We currently have 10 Locker Rooms, including one for women.
