Cedarville gets it – right – every time!

Out of the gate, I’m not saying Cedarville U is the only place to send your kids.  It’s not. Don’t want to be that guy.

But I will say this, Cedarville gets it.  And right!

As many folks know the Gathering/Cedarville University partnership has been an unbelievable one, many thanks to Bill Brown, president of CU, for that.

But a culture starts at the top, and is lived and breathed to all. And boy does it.

We had a Locker Room outing today for a Cedarville basketball game.

About hoops down there … few non-DI schools do it like Cedarville.  Students must get paid to go to games, because they go in droves.  Enthusiastically too.

Students just left for Christmas break.  We should have felt that in the stands.  We didn’t … largely due to a great, close game (Cedarville win), because even with students gone they can have over a half-filled gym.

Bill Bigham and family and Drew and Stephanie Flamm hosted in Bill Brown’s (Lynne) absence. They had to attend a funeral out of state.

Knowing we were having pizza, my wife, Kara, thought pizza with paper plates, etc.

Several homemade, delicious pizzas, wings, two types of brownies, salad, fruit, all so very good.

Cedarville-produced (by a business class) coloring books and crayons for kids and a Christmas cd to take home.

Cedarville lives out better than most a mantra the Gathering tries to have.  Add value to any and all any time, every time.

Team Cedarville raises that bar every time and beyond.

It’s an underpromise-overdeliver way.  I’m blessed in the receiving.  Cedarville has as a motto: “inspiring greatness.”

The school produces and delivers on greatness, so it certainly inspires it.
