Book Review: PRIMAL (by Mark Batterson)
Mark Batterson’s third book, Primal, hits its mark by going to the the great primal depths of the faith.
So often, we look for the new thing vs. returning to the old thing and our roots.
Batterson wants us to return to our first love and be great at the greatest commandment of loving God with our heart, mind, soul and strength.
He teaches us in his twitter-type (140 characters or less) method through science and all the resources available to us, from the Giver of every good and perfect gift.
I have been pushed to a greater height and awareness of what does it mean to love God with my whole heart, mind, soul and strength. I’ve grasped on some level, the heart part, but not the other three.
Batterson opened me up to the other three, and I’m now better equipped.
We need to “reimagine, rediscover and rethink” our first love, Jesus Christ, vs. our love of work, ministry, and life.
I’m better off having read this book and being primal in thinking, which will transcend to living, and so will you. Go here, to get and be primal – http://bit.ly/6SAESi
